Any relation to TL Jason!? lol jk,

I'm glad he got invited. Even if he doesn't make the team this should be a huge confidence booster for him. I'm sure we'll reap the rewards of that in the season.

I'm surprised. Lewis has always looked like a bubble NHLer to me.

Nah, Lewis is a very solid bottom 6 guy on any team. Hard working 2 way forward with some offensive upside.

The only mark against him is going 17th overall which in hindsight probably wasn't warranted but regardless, i'm glad he's a King.

I'm not surprised that that is the sentiment from someone who might not catch every King game. I don't at all mean that in a negative fashion either. He is a defensive specialist, and real easy to overlook. He's a ridiculously good penalty killer and maybe one of the best skaters the Kings have had all time. He just lacks a little finish. He's still really young all things considered and could find that sometime soon here. Had a real solid year last year also..was on pace for close to 30 points which I think is what most people expected when he was drafted. That first round tag always comes back on him but when you look at that 2006 first round...that was a real hit or miss draft and I think getting a guarenteed 3rd line NHLer out of it is a score.

But Lewis has become a bit of a fan favorite for his work ethic out here in L.A.
